Eugene Review

You may have not heard there is an Italian restaurant at the 5th street market.  Noli Italian Cafe is lead by Chef Davide who is a true Italian born immigrant.  Chef Davide and his wife started the 5th street Cafe a few years back and are happy they made the decision to go cafe style rather than restaurant.

They serve food which could bring $20 a plate at a high end restaurant, but during these economic times, a cafe has less overhead and gives the close family more “family time”.

Chef Davide has a passion for food and authentic recipes have been handed down for generations from father to son.  Most Americans love their pasta, but it is an experience all in of itself to have Italian food prepared by a master Italian chef!

We tried the lasagna, and it was incredibly moist, light, and didn’t have the heavy handed cheese toppings that most American Italian food is known for.  Perhaps that is why Italians are so thin and Americans are so fat?  Just a thought.

All in all Noli Italian Cafe is a real pleasure to patron.  The staff is super friendly, the atmosphere is beautiful 5th street market, and the wine is top notch.

Go enjoy a meal there today.

Experience Eugene
Noli Italian Cafe is an authentic Italian eatery located within the international cafes. Noli is owned and operated by Davide Mulone and his wife Maggie McDonald. Mulone, also the chef at Noli, is originally from Genoa, Italy and has worked in the kitchens of Germany, Italy, Las Vegas and Portland, Oregon. McDonald, who is originally from Eugene, and Mulone are excited to once again call Eugene home. They are dedicated to supporting local farmers providing organically grown produce, all natural beef, pork and hormone free poultry whenever possible. The menu includes a mixture of soup & salads, heavenly pastas and a variety of sandwiches and classic Italian desserts (please see full menu below). The eatery also sells an assortment of local wines and beers on tap.

I like this place. The food is good, prices are reasonable and the service was super friendly. The owner seems like a genuinely nice guy. Had the gnocchi,  and I will be going back. Their brunch looked fantastic, too.

A salad & bowl of pasta with lots of cheese for $10? Not bad.
The pasta had plenty of cheese to make me happy, and both dishes were filling.

The gnocci is great.  Wife and I have been there twice.  She had the meatball classico on the last trip and enjoyed it.
